Job summary

Hilton Mechanical is seeking experienced Pipefitters to work mainly at shops and construction sites in Cartersville, GA and Alpharetta, GA, with travel to other jobsites as needed. Candidates must pass a hands-on 6G weld test.

Pay range is $35/hr - $40/hr, with overtime opportunities. Responsibilities include laying out piping from drawings, setting hangers and supports, testing systems, and coordinating with foremen and other trades on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of pipefitting experience in commercial or industrial work.
• Ability to read isometric drawings and submittals.
• Strong fit-up and layout skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to job sites across Georgia.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out and route piping from drawings and field conditions.
• Set hangers, supports, and anchors per specifications.
• Test piping systems for leaks and code compliance.
• Maintain quality and safety standards on sites.
• Coordinate with foremen and other trades on sites.
• Operate rigging and lifting equipment safely.
• Prepare for and pass the 6G pipe weld test (carbon steel and GTAW).

About Hilton Mechanical

We are a growing mechanical contractor specializing in industrial piping, skid fabrication, and equipment installation. Our team works on a mix of shop-built systems and field projects, giving employees exposure to a variety of hands‑on work. Overview

We are seeking experienced Pipefitters to join our team. Work will primarily be performed at shops and construction sites in Cartersville, GA and Alpharetta, GA. Travel to other jobsites and shops may be needed.

Candidates must be willing to travel to locations as needed.

All candidates must pass a hands‑on 6G weld test to be considered for this position.

Testing is done at our shop on 2\" pipe in the 6G fixed position, open root with no backing. We test carbon steel (TIG root, 7018 cap) and stainless (GTAW) as two separate coupons. The full weld procedures are provided when your test is scheduled.

Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hr

• Lay out and route piping from isometric drawings, mechanical plans, and field conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of pipefitting experience in commercial or industrial mechanical work

• Familiarity with working on active construction jobsites
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites across Georgia
• Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team

• Forklift, scissor lift, fall protection, or boom lift certifications
