Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Fab Shop Welder with Pipe Welding Experience for our Braddock, PA location. The role supports welding operations on above-ground metal storage tanks and related structures across multiple sites nationwide.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting welding methods, setting up components, welding in various positions, and maintaining safety and quality on site. PTS offers competitive pay and a strong culture of teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills.
• Strong basic math and measuring abilities.
• Must be able to pass welding tests for stick and flux core.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings; read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Determine welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specs and drawings.
• Operate tools to prepare parts for welding.
• Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Inspect and rig equipment on job sites as needed.
