Job summary

MIELKE Mechanical Holdings, Inc. seeks a full-time Pipe Welder to join the Columbus, Ohio team. The candidate will perform pipe welding on carbon steel, stainless and alloys, require proficiency in blueprint reading, and pass welding tests including SMAW and TIG.

The role includes standard 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with strong safety practices and collaboration with the plumbing/HVAC division. Competitive pay at $26–$36/hour depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits such as

Qualifications

• Must pass Pipe Stick test (2” SCH 160 SMAW 6G 6010/7018).
• Must pass TIG SS pipe weld test.
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless and alloys.
• Must be able to fit components into a weldment using drawings.
• Must be proficient at blueprint reading.
• Must pass welding test; ASME experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions to execute welding functions.
• Fit components into weldments using drawings and blueprints.
• Operate oxy/acetylene cutting and hand plasma cutting as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality standards on all welding tasks.

Pipe Welder

Columbus, OH

MIELKE Mechanical Holdings, Inc. is currently searching for a full-time Pipe Welder to join their team in Columbus, Ohio!

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Our Pipe Welder will:

• Must be proficient in and able to pass a Pipe Stick test (2” SCH 160 SMAW 6G 6010/7018)

• Must be able to follow detailed work instructions, verbal or written to execute job functions.
• Minimum experience how to operate and be proficient with the following equipment: oxy/acy cutting, hand plasma cutting
• Minimum experience or knowledge in Rigid pipe threading and Victaulic a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a welding test
• ASME experience and certification is a huge plus!
