Job summary

Worley is seeking a skilled pipe welder for its Anchorage Fabrication Facility to build and repair piping systems and process equipment for heavy industry. Work involves welding pipe, flanges and fittings to blueprints and job orders, with emphasis on code compliance and safe practices in an Arctic environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of pipe welding experience in petrochemical settings and must pass FCAW, GTAW and SMAW pipe weld tests.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience pipe welding in a petrochemical industrial environment.
• Must pass FCAW, GTAW and SMAW pipe weld tests upon offer.
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

Responsibilities

• Constructs, maintains, and modifies piping systems and process equipment by welding of pipe, flanges and various fittings to meet client requirements.
• Measures pipe routing and drafts pipe configuration.
• Performs repair, prep, grinding and re-weld procedures to meet welding codes.
• Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs cleanup activities.
