Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Pipe Welder for the Greenville, TX on-site fabrication facility to fit and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping for industrial projects. You will read drawings, follow weld procedures, and deliver high-quality welds meeting codes and customer requirements.

This role requires safety awareness, the ability to travel to project sites, and proficiency with grinders and beveling tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial pipe welding experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a Loenbro welding test and project qualifications.
• 2G,3G GMAW/FCAW minimum; 6G preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping.
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, spool sheets, and weld procedures.
• Fabricate and weld carbon steel process piping.
• Inspect materials and welds for quality and conformance.
• Operate grinders, torches, beveling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Comply with safety policies and quality standards.

Reports To: Fabrication Manager

Position Summary:

The Pipe Welder is responsible for fitting and welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems used in industrial and construction projects. This position requires the ability to work safely, read and interpret drawings, and produce high-quality welds that meet applicable codes, specifications, and customer requirements.

• Perform FCAW, and GMAW welding processes as required.
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, spool sheets, and weld procedures.
• Fabricate and weld carbon steel process piping
• Inspect materials and completed welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Operate grinders, torches, beveling equipment, and other fabrication tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of industrial pipe welding experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a Loenbro welding test and applicable project weld qualifications.
• 2G,3G GMAW/FCAW minimum requirements; 6G preferred
• 6G GTAW/SMAW helpful, not required
• Strong understanding of weld symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of pipe fabrication, fit-up tolerances, and welding procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fabrication shop environment.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in industrial, power, semiconductor, mining, or manufacturing environments.
• Current welding certifications or documented weld qualifications.
• Forklift, aerial lift, or rigging experience

Preferred:

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• High attention to detail.
• Must be a quick learner and motivated.
• Must be able to work as a team and solve problems.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• This position may require travel to various project sites. Mostly outdoors, potential exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Construction environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Walking in uneven terrain, with an average of 2 miles per day.
• Standing/sitting for long periods, stooping, crawling, climbing stairs & ladders, and kneeling.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
