Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of pipe stress engineering in chemical/high-tech facilities.
• Texas PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Expert knowledge of ASME piping codes and material standards.
• Proficiency with CAESAR II, NozzlePRO, Navisworks, Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for pipe stress analysis, pipe support design, and ASME codes.
• Review P&IDs and input sheets to determine analysis requirements.
• Perform piping flexibility and stress analyses using CAESAR II and NozzlePRO.
• Select spring hangers, expansion joints, snubbers, and other supports.
• Review 3D designs in Revit or Navisworks to ensure stress results are incorporated.
• Communicate design impacts and risks to stakeholders.
• Improve workflows and standards for design quality.
