Everforth Apex is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer III for a 12-month contract in Houston, TX. The role focuses on analysis of piping systems to meet codes and standards, performing stress analysis, and coordinating with designers to optimize routing and supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 1–3 years (or more) in Mechanical Engineering with understanding of pipe stress analysis and system flexibility.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Review piping systems for thermal flexibility, vibration and supports.
• Ensure piping projects meet applicable codes and client standards.
• Perform formal stress analysis using Caesar II for ASME B31.1 and B31.3.
• Conduct informal stress analysis for various piping systems.
• Collaborate with designers to optimize routing and specify supports.
