Job summary

Walbec is seeking an Excavator Operator with pipe laying and sewer/water experience to support pipe layers, operators, and the foreman on projects across the Midwest. You will coordinate materials, maintain safety, and ensure efficient workflow on site.

Must have a valid driver's license, 3+ years in sewer and water, and be able to operate loader and backfill excavator. Union membership may be required; schedule includes varied hours and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• A Class A CDL is preferred but not required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years experience in Sewer and Water.
• Ability to operate loader and backfill excavator.
• Willingness to work varied hours including nights and weekends.
• Union membership or willingness to join is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials for sanitary, watermain, and storm pipes and manholes.
• Maintain jobsite safety and cleanliness.
• Keep materials and workflow organized.
• Assist in working between loader and backfill excavator.
• Support pipe layers, operators, and foreman.
