Job summary

Axis Pipe and Tube is seeking a Sample Saw Operator in Bryan, Texas for a full-time manual labor role. You will acquire required samples per customer specs, ensure labeling for traceability, and notify status and reasons in the system.

The job involves cutting and handling pipe to meet quality requirements. Responsibilities include operating equipment, performing inspections, maintaining safety, and completing related paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to read and understand the Work Instructions for the position held.
• Must follow Safety Rules and Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete flattening tests to meet specifications for all products.
• Remove sample of pipe from the mill during operation for the laboratory.
• Inspect finished pipe and tubing products and monitor during production.
• Set press to meet Flattening test requirements for the product.
• Enter and retrieve information and data on a computer.
• Fill in all paperwork completely and accurately.
