Job summary

CK Contractors and Development LLC is seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to assemble and install storm sewers, drains, and water mains. This non-exempt role requires trenchwork, precise pipe alignment, and strict safety adherence on Southeast project sites.

Hours are typically Monday–Friday with potential overtime; applicants must reliably commute to Savannah and Midway, GA areas and have reliable transportation. Pay is based on experience and regional market rates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pipeline experience.
• OSHA Confined Space training preferred.
• Follow building plans/blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
• Knowledge of construction and pipe fitting techniques; sewer systems, storm drains, water mains.
• Experience with machine-operated and hand trenching tools.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Work in trench systems to install sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems.
• Cut pipes to required lengths and align pipes for welding or sealing.
• Check slopes for conformance to requirements using levels or lasers.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using welding equipment, cement, or glue.
• Tap and drill holes into pipes for auxiliary lines or devices.
• Cover pipes with earth and level trench bases with tamping tools.
• Maintain familiarity with utilities workflow and coordination with other trades.
• Monitor operations to ensure health and safety standards are met.
• Perform pre- and post-checks of equipment and keep it maintained.
• Keep records of material usage and issues encountered.
• Willingness to perform other job positions as needed.
