Job summary

Reeves Construction Company is seeking experienced Pipe Layers to be based out of Brunswick, GA. The successful candidate will focus on safety excellence and perform trench work, pipe handling, and underground utility awareness on heavy civil projects.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and relevant on-the-job training. The role requires willingness to work nights and weekends and to travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Reeves Construction Company safety programs to ensure a safe work environment.
• Shovel work around trenches.
• Lifting pipe and operating compaction devices.
• Locate and avoid underground utilities.
• Understand and interpret grade information.
• Read and interpret grade instruments (rules, grade rods, carpenter levels and lasers).
• Operate equipment safely and consistently.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• Must have basic knowledge of soil types, trenching and shoring.
• Work independently and follow detailed instructions.
