Qualifications

• MUST have experience laying ductile iron/mechanical joint pipe.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 or OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systems.
• Lay out pipe routes according to specifications or blueprints.
• Cut pipes to required lengths and assemble fittings.
• Check slopes for conformance using levels or lasers.
• Train others in pipe-laying techniques.

Skills

Experience laying ductile iron/mechanical joint pipe

Alignment and positioning of pipes

Use of welding equipment

General labor and construction duties

Understanding of OSHA regulations

Education

High school diploma or GED
