Job summary

The Walsh Group in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Pipe Layer for the Tempe JGMWTP project. The role involves laying, joining, wrapping, and sealing pipe sections for water, sewer, and related conduits on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil sites.

You will work with a crew, operate hand and power tools, and support site preparation and other duties as assigned. Safety compliance and physical capability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance on scaffold or ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied weather conditions.
• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively with crew.
• Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; prolonged standing, bending, kneeling or sitting.

Responsibilities

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections for water/gas main and sewer lines.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed by supervision.
• Perform tasks involving physical labor as instructed by supervisor.
