Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie is hiring a Pipe Layer to lay ductile pipe for storm and sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. The role involves trenching, positioning pipe, sealing joints, and performing heavy lifting up to 75 lbs as part of commercial construction projects.

Adherence to safety protocols and drug-free workplace is required. Ideal candidates bring 2 years of pipe laying experience, experience with underground ductile iron piping, and the ability to stand or stoop for extended periods.

Qualifications

• 2 years Commercial Construction Pipe Laying experience preferred
• Experience in underground ductile iron piping required
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Lay ductile pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains
• Perform any combination of the following tasks: grade trenches or culverts, position pipe, or seal joints
• Position required frequently lifting up to 75 lbs
• Position requires physical labor tasks such as shovel work and trench digging as involved with commercial construction pipe laying
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.
