Job summary

Cardinal Infrastructure Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Pipe Layer to install and support sewer, water and storm drain projects. You will operate saws and power tools, prepare work areas and assist crew in laying and aligning pipes.

This role requires at least 1 year of pipe crew experience, the ability to perform heavy physical work and lift over 80 pounds, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of pipe laying or pipe crew experience.
• Heavy physical work including lifting or moving heavy weight (over 80 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete saw and other power tools as required.
• Position, align, and join pipes and set drainage structures.
• Install sewer, water, and storm drain pipes using excavator and laser guidance.
• Signal equipment operators to align, move, and adjust equipment.
• Lubricate, clean, and repair tools as required.
• Prepare work area and maintain safety to eliminate hazards.
• Dig trenches, backfill, and compact earth to grade specifications.
• Load and unload construction materials, machinery, and tools.
• Cut concrete pipe, boxes, ductile iron, and PVC.
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain predictable attendance.
