Job summary

CK Contractors and Development LLC is hiring Pipe Layers to assemble, connect, and construct pipe systems for storm drains, sanitary sewers, and water mains. The role requires reading blueprints and following supervisor instructions, with work conducted in trenches and a strong emphasis on safety.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of pipeline experience, can lift up to 50 lbs, and are willing to travel within the greater Charlotte area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pipeline experience.
• OSHA Confined Space training preferred.
• Ability to follow blueprints and supervisor instructions.
• Knowledge of sewer systems, storm drains and water mains.
• Experience with trenching tools and welding equipment.
• Safety-conscious with strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Work in trench systems to install pipe structures.
• Cut and align pipes; assist in welding or sealing.
• Check slopes for drainage; ensure proper alignment.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints with cement, glue, or welding.
• Perform pre/post equipment checks and maintenance.
• Maintain records of materials and equipment usage.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and company policies.
