Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Mississippi is seeking entry-level helpers to support skilled craftspersons with piping fabrication and installation under close supervision. You will learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, and assist with welding and rigging on a busy construction site.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to follow written and oral instructions, and a willingness to work long hours outdoors, including potential overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions and communicate effectively.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of safe and efficient use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping.
• Assist skilled craftsman to align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assist with pipe/tube/fittings assembly and threading joints.
• Position materials and secure during installation per plans.
• Learn to distinguish metal thickness and types.
• Learn to handle and apply rigging equipment.
• Operate tools including beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, and Saw-Zall.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
• Assist with hydro testing piping systems.
