Thalle Construction Co. Inc. (“Thalle”) is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter Foreman to join our team in Leonard, Texas. The Foreman will lead a crew of skilled pipe fitters, working closely with the operations team to install, test, and maintain piping systems using threaded galvanized steel, threaded stainless steel, and PVC. This role requires a knowledgeable and hands-on leader capable of managing daily field operations, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in line with Thalle’s high standards of professionalism and integrity.

Job Title: Pipe Fitter Foreman

Salary:Competitive compensation package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a crew in the installation, assembly, and maintenance of threaded galvanized steel, threaded stainless steel, and PVC piping systems for heating, water, and drainage applications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine accurate pipe routing and system layouts.
  • Oversee and participate in the measuring, cutting, threading, and bending of pipes using appropriate hand and power tools or machinery.
  • Inspect and test piping systems using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, and other diagnostic tools to confirm functionality and integrity.
  • Direct the repair or replacement of damaged or worn pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Coordinate with plumbers, welders, HVAC technicians, and other trades to ensure efficient and cohesive installation and system performance.
  • Enforce strict compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and productive jobsite.
  • Mentor and train crew members, ensuring high productivity, skill development, and work quality.
  • Monitor material usage, manage crew assignments, and provide daily progress updates to project management.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of heavy civil construction experience required, preferably on dam, reservoir, landfill, or wastewater treatment plant projects.
  • Prior experience leading pipe fitting crews.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to establish trust and interface effectively with field teams, management, owners, and clients.

Physical Requirements:

  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Work long shifts.
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination, quick reaction times.
  • Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.
  • Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mile.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug screen.
