Description

This is a remote/rotational position working nights, on a three weeks on and three weeks off schedule, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Area Superintendent, the Equipment Operator Foreman (Specialty) trains and provides technical direction and leadership to work crews in the proper use of equipment supporting oilfield activities, including tanks, rig mats, tubular loads, and other heavy equipment. This role also provides technical guidance for fluids hauling equipment supporting drilling and intervention activities.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Supervise one or more trade groups in Fluid Hauling operations, including vac trucks, water tankers, chemical delivery, and fueling operations.
  2. Support decision-making and development of guidelines, procedures, policies, and measurable goals to meet HSE and efficiency objectives.
  3. Provide HSE leadership and conduct safety and productivity observations, inspections, and training.
  4. Maintain environmental management system objectives and support contract goals.
  5. Coordinate with client representatives to determine work requirements and respond accordingly.
  6. Plan and supervise workforce activities, including manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
  7. Coordinate work with other groups, crafts, or contractors.
  8. Resolve disputes, administer coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  9. Monitor safety and environmental compliance, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  10. Train and direct crew members, ensuring they have necessary skills and mentoring new employees.
  11. Communicate work expectations and safety protocols, encouraging open communication.
  12. Report incidents promptly and seek continuous work process improvements.
  13. Participate in planning meetings and oversee daily site activities.
  14. Serve as a point of contact for crew and coordinate maintenance activities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of machinery components, operation, and maintenance, with experience operating such equipment being a plus.
  • Understanding of safety, technical manuals, permits, and signage.
  • Effective communication skills for safety instructions and team coordination.
  • Ability to interpret gauges and safety alarms, and follow all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties in Arctic conditions, including lifting, climbing, and working in cold environments.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and fluids hauling support activities.
  • Teamwork and effective communication skills.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. The employee must meet physical requirements such as standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and working in cold temperatures while wearing Arctic gear. Medical evacuation may be delayed due to weather conditions.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement and ability to be insured.
  • Current CDL/DOT medical card.
  • Five years’ experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Two years supervisory experience with a crew of five or more.
  • Experience with Office Suite programs.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) certification or willingness to obtain it.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Petrochemical, oilfield, or Arctic experience.
