Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Elkridge, MD is seeking a Principal Microelectronics Engineer to support Space Programs' manual assembly. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing cell handling CCAs and ECAs, collaborating across disciplines to improve quality and efficiency.

The role requires a BS in engineering with 5+ years in manufacturing, DoD clearance eligibility, and proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with J-STD, MIL-STD and lean methods is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related STEM area with required years of experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations to identify and implement improvements.
• Engage with floor operations to address real-time challenges.
• Investigate non-conforming hardware and determine rework/repair paths.
• Develop or revise process documentation and work instructions.
• Assist with training and operator materials.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes with emphasis on quality, efficiency, and cost.
