Job summary

CAE seeks an Instructor Pilot to lead high‑quality simulator and ground training for client pilots in the United States. You will conduct comprehensive pre‑ and post‑flight briefings and serve as a SME across assigned aircraft platforms.

As part of CAE’s aviation training family, you’ll advance educational standards, maintain qualifications, and grow through CAE’s instructor development program. Excellent communication and teaching passion are essential.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.
• Unrestricted PIC Type Rating preferred.
• FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.
• Conduct professional, comprehensive pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for client training and internal course development.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing training records, maintaining instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training when needed.
• Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.
• After approximately 1.5+ years (subject to business need), qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
