Job summary

CAE is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot to deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with CAE curricula and regulatory requirements. You will lead detailed pre- and post-flight briefings and serve as a subject matter expert for client training and course development.

The role emphasizes strong teaching skills, meticulous recordkeeping, and ongoing professional growth within CAE’s instructor-development program, with potential advancement to evaluator

Qualifications

• Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.
• Unrestricted PIC Type Rating preferred.
• FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.
• Participation in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
• Experience flying business aircraft highly desired.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.
• Conduct professional, comprehensive pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings.
• Act as SME for client training and internal course development.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing training records, maintaining instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training when needed.
• Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.
• After approximately 1.5+ years (subject to business need), qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
