Job summary

Justhelicopters seeks a Regional Safety Officer to oversee base safety programs, audits, and incident investigations across multiple bases. You will mentor Site Safety Officers and base managers in safety management and Just Culture practices.

The role requires aviation safety knowledge, OSHA/FAA Part 135 familiarity, 5 years of related experience, and strong leadership and communication skills. Travel is frequent and the work supports a regional scope in Texas.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate degree required; B.S. preferred.
• FAA certifications or medical/aircraft credentials preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in EMS rotor-wing or related safety roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional safety oversight of assigned bases.
• Conduct base-level SMS audits and safety assessments.
• Supervise and coach Site Safety Officers.
• Lead root-cause analysis and Just Culture applications.
• Investigate events and present improvement recommendations.
• Deliver new-hire and recurrent safety training.

Regional Safety OfficerRegional safety representative works with company regional representatives (RAM,RCM, RMM, etc.) and base program management to promote a positive safetyculture and enhance workplace safety. Mentor and train base Site Safety Officersand base managers in safety management and accident prevention. Perform asnew-hire and recurrent training instructor. Perform duties as the company SMSInternal Evaluation Program base auditor. Conduct event investigations and providerecommendations to company leadership for improvement. This position does notrequire the employee to relocate to North TexasII. QUALIFICATIONSA. Education:* Two year Associate's degree; B.S. degree (preferred)* FAA Certification as a RW Commercial Instrument pilot or A&P Mechanic; Paramedic or RNB.
