Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering preferred) or equivalent direct operations leadership experience.
• Strong background in chemical or materials manufacturing and industrial operations.
• Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and applying them to production processes.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and training skills to develop talent and safe operating behaviors.
• Hands-on, solution-oriented approach to diagnosing issues on the line and resolving challenges.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with ability to lead meetings and align teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Alameda manufacturing operations, drive discipline, and strategic initiatives (Lean implementation; continuous improvement).
• Act as plant asset owner, manage MOC processes, maximize equipment reliability and rapid incident recovery.
• Build a safe, high-performing team with structured hiring, training, and performance feedback.
• Streamline workstreams and systems to create an efficient, scalable production environment.
• Partner with supply planning and Finance to optimize production planning, monitor inventory, and report variances.
• Set clear expectations, track key metrics, and support direct reports in overcoming roadblocks.
