Job summary

Pentastar Aviation in Waterford, MI is seeking a Pilot-in-Command to join a two-aircraft Gulfstream fleet. The successful candidate will ensure the safety of passengers and crew and manage flight and ground operations in compliance with FAA regulations.

You will determine routes, speeds, ETAs, and decision-making on delays or reroutes, while supervising the flight crew and handling schedule changes. A bachelor's degree is preferred; ATP and 4,000 total flight hours are required, with GVII/GVIII

Qualifications

• ATP certificate and FAA medical certification required.
• 4,000 hours total flight time minimum.
• G500/G600 experience highly desirable.
• Prior business aviation and large cabin Gulfstream experience required.
• International experience desired and ability to handle rotating schedules.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot-in-Command ensuring safety of passengers and crew.
• Oversee flight and ground operations in compliance with FAA regulations.
• Plan routes, speeds, and ETAs to meet schedules.
• Make decisions on delays, rerouting, or cancellations.
• Perform general department duties when not flying.

The Pilot-in-Command is responsible for the safety of passengers and crew and the comfortable, timely operation of the aircraft. They supervise the flight crew and ensure that all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations. They determine flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to fulfill scheduling requirements. They make decisions regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations. They may perform other general department duties when not flying. Hiring preference will be given to candidates who hold GVII and/or GVIII type ratings and have prior experience in type.This position is located in Waterford, MI. The individuals selected for this position must live within 2 hours of Waterford, MI.
