Job summary

Wing Aviation in Houston, TX seeks a Lead Pilot for a Gulfstream GV aircraft. The role emphasizes safe operation, flight planning, and compliance with FAA rules. Based in Houston, the lead pilot will support crew, management, and maintenance to uphold Wing Aviation’s high safety standards.

The ideal candidate will hold FAA ATP, First Class Medical, and GV PIC ratings, with extensive PIC time and transatlantic flight experience.

Qualifications

• FAA ATP certification and First Class Medical are required.
• GV PIC ratings and type ratings are required.
• Transatlantic flight experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Gulfstream GV aircraft safely.
• Review maintenance status of the aircraft.
• Conduct pre-flight inspections as per the approved flight manual.
• Complete trip paperwork per established procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Wing Aviation policies and FAA regulations.

Wing Aviation is seeking a Lead Pilot for a Gulfstream V - GV aircraft based in Houston, Texas.

• Responsible for the safe operation of the GV aircraft.
• Review the maintenance status of the aircraft.
• Conduct pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved aircraft flight manual.
• Complete check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and airports to be used, including alternate airports.
• Ensure the flight is conducted following the policies and procedures of Wing Aviation and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Accurately complete of all trip paperwork in accordance with established procedures.

Experience Requirements

• Airman Certificate: ATP
• Ratings: Appropriate PIC Type Rating
• Medical Certificate: First-Class, valid for ATP privileges
• Total Flight Time: 3,500 (PIC)
• Multi Engine Land: 1,500 (PIC)
• Multi Engine PIC: 500 (PIC)
• Instrument: 300 (PIC)
• Turbine Engine: 500 (PIC)
• Time in Type: 1000 (PIC)
• Transatlantic experience required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Skilled at making proactive decisions
• Ability to set priorities and stay organized
• Ability to maintain a valid First-Class Medical certificate
• Uphold a service standard in an evolving regulatory environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with the 14 CFR 91 and 14 CFR 135 Operations, FAA Regulations, Aircraft Flight and Equipment manuals as well as any other information required for each flight.

Prefer local candidates with appropriate rating and currency. Crew needs to live within a 2 hour call out of where the jet is based.
