Job summary

The Pilot position with Pentastar Aviation is part of a two-aircraft Gulfstream fleet, with the Pilot-in-Command responsible for safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will supervise the flight crew and coordinate flight and ground operations to meet schedules.

The role is based in Waterford, MI. You must live within two hours of Waterford, and crew members typically fly about 250 hours per year.

Qualifications

• ATP certificate required.
• Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time.
• G500/G600 experience highly desirable.
• Prior business aviation experience required.
• Large cabin Gulfstream experience required.
• International experience required.
• FAA First Class medical certificate obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of passengers and crew and oversee flight operations per FAA regulations.
• Supervise flight crew and coordinate flight and ground operations.
• Determine flight routes, speeds, and takeoff/landing times to meet scheduling requirements.

Description

The successful candidate will join a group of established pilots serving as a dedicated crewmember in a fleet of two large cabin Gulfstream aircraft. The Pilot-in-Command is responsible for the safety of passengers and crew and the comfortable, timely operation of the aircraft. They supervise the flight crew and ensure that all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations. They determine flight routes, speed, and take off and landing times to fulfill scheduling requirements. They make decisions regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations. They may perform other general department duties when not flying. Hiring preference will be given to candidates who hold GVII and/or GVIII type ratings and have prior experience in type.

This position is located in Waterford, MI. The individuals selected for this position must live within 2 hours of Waterford, MI. As a pilot for Pentastar Aviation, crew members can expect to fly about 250 hours per year.
