Job summary

AbbVie Inc. seeks an experienced Manufacturing Operator/Technician to support pharmaceutical production at our Chicago-area facilities.

You will follow GMP policies, document data, and monitor equipment to ensure clean, compliant operations. The role requires at least 5 years in manufacturing within pharma, strong troubleshooting and validation experience, and the ability to work independently while communicating deviations clearly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical or similar environments.
• Experience with validation, troubleshooting, and document management is required.
• Strong technical background and ability to read and follow procedures.
• Ability to explain deviations in writing clearly and accurately.
• Basic math skills and problem solving; work independently.
• Proven track record in completing technician tasks after training.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow department policies and SOPs; document data per GMP.
• Note quality issues and address with appropriate personnel.
• Review procedures and batch records; suggest improvements.
• Inspect equipment and sign off status reports at end of process.
• Assist engineering and validation groups to implement new equipment.
• Coordinate with warehouse for proper staging and supplies.
