Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Process Quality Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities in the pilot plant, including processing, packaging, cleanup and large-scale productions.
• Interface with product development scientists.
• Construct weekly schedule and assign work to technicians.
• Ensure on-time delivery of work and equipment readiness.
• Attend equipment acceptance tests and document as needed.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary GMP-compliant environment.
• Lead process development and lead on projects as required.
• Assist in training all incoming personnel with focus on safety.
• Assist the Quality Specialist with food safety programs (ingredients/allergens).
• Order parts and ingredients and track incoming materials.
• Measure and track metrics and coordinate cuts for internal/external customers.
• Support equipment modification and acquisitions and communicate issues to plant manager.
• Mentor and train other departments to improve overall training.
