Job summary

Aquatech is seeking an Applications Development Engineer for our Hartland, WI campus to contribute to pilot-scale water treatment projects. The role requires hands-on laboratory operations, data ownership, and close coordination with pilot teams to meet safety and quality targets.

The position emphasizes engineering, design, assembly and maintenance of pilot plant equipment, with a focus on process optimization, data analysis, and adherence to safety and schedule constraints.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Effective communication skills.
• Positive attitude with hands-on approach.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work weekdays, weeknights and overtime as testing requires.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pilot results to ensure process alignment with key operational targets.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pilot laboratory testing.
• Maintain ownership of all data generated from the pilot test.
• Analyze data to form conclusions and author pilot reports.
• Engineer, design, assemble and maintain pilot plant equipment.
• Communicate with pilot operations to make decisions in the best interest of safety, pilot quality, and schedule.
• Ensure operational readiness and efficient use of resources.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to advance technical capabilities.
• Conduct training for operators.
• Establish and enforce a culture of safety, organization, and accountability.
