Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation seeks a Pile Driver / Welder to install footing piles, earth support systems, and perform structural welding on heavy civil and bridge projects. You will read blueprints, operate around cranes, and ensure welds meet project specs while maintaining safety and productivity.

This role requires at least 5 years of pile driving and welding experience, with preference for bridge project exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pile driving, bridge construction, structural welding, or related heavy civil construction.
• Experience on bridge construction projects is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and welding specifications.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety policies and promote Safety First in Everything We Do.
• Install footing piles, earth support systems, and foundation elements as directed.
• Perform structural welding on bridge and heavy civil projects using approved procedures.
• Read blueprints, layouts, work orders, and specs to complete welding and pile driving accurately.
• Prepare, fit, and weld structural steel components to project specs and quality standards.
• Operate welding equipment, cutting torches, and plasma arc equipment safely.
• Assist with rigging, lifting, and positioning heavy materials with proper practices.
• Work safely around cranes and lifting equipment; conduct initial quality inspections.
