Channel Islands YMCA in Montecito (Santa Barbara area) seeks an experienced Group Exercise Instructor for a part-time role. You will lead aerobics and mind-body classes, develop routines, and promote programs to members.

Requirements include at least 18 years old, a high school diploma, nationally recognized group exercise certification (ACE, NASM, ISSA, NETA, AFAA) or equivalent, and certification completion within 60 days of hire; branch trainings within two weeks of hire; able to obtain

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Required certifications: ACE, NASM, ISSA, NETA, AFAA and/or specialized formats.
• Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Complete all branch and position trainings within two weeks of hire.
• Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance.

Aufgaben

• Implement aerobics exercise, mind-body, or basic fitness classes.
• Teach fitness classes; develop routines, exercises, and choreography for participants.
• Promote programs to members and participants.
• Record participant counts and distribute/collect program evaluations.
• Maintain minimum class attendance standard.
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster connections with members.
• Participate in and complete in-service trainings.
