Job summary

The Maschhoffs is seeking a dedicated animal care associate to support pig production operations. You will provide feeding, watering, health treatments and day-one care while assisting with birthing and insemination activities as directed.

You will monitor health and behavior, administer vaccines under veterinarian guidance, and help maintain biosecurity and safety protocols across facilities. Strong record-keeping and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• GED or better required or preferred.
• High School diploma or better required or preferred.
• One year of animal care or agricultural experience a plus.
• Knowledge of basic biosecurity principles and basic swine production terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert animal care including feeding, watering, health treatments, artificial insemination support and day one care.
• Monitor animal behavior and health; promptly address issues.
• Administer vaccines and medications under guidance of Herd Veterinarians.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance; follow Safety Non-Negotiables.
• Record production data accurately and timely.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain animal housing and facilities; perform routine maintenance.
