Job summary

Whitewater - Summerset in Madison, WI seeks a Laborer to install, maintain, and dismantle piers, boat lifts, and related structures. You’ll load materials, operate tools, and follow safety protocols while working in variable weather and water-adjacent environments.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with clean MVR, and comfort near water. CDL A is preferred; boating safety certification is a plus. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Clean MVR.
• CDL A preferred.
• Experience in marine or construction environment is advantageous.
• Ability to swim and comfort near water.
• Familiarity with hand tools, carpentry, and machinery.
• Boater safety Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance, and dismantling of docks, piers, and marine structures.
• Load, unload, and distribute materials and equipment for daily operations.
• Operate hand and power tools; maintain and store them properly.
• Perform routine checks on small boats and assist with barges.
• Follow safety procedures, wear PPE, and use flotation devices as required.
• Set up and remove scaffolding and temporary structures at sites.
• Prepare sites by cleaning debris from barges and waterways.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor, on land or water.
