Job summary
Children’s Minnesota is seeking a registered nurse for our PICU teams at the Minneapolis and Saint Paul campuses. This MNA contract position will involve coordinating and delivering family-centered care to infants and children, with collaboration across a multidisciplinary health team.
Requirements include a Minnesota RN license, BLS, and PICU experience (1 year in last 2 years). PALS certification is required or obtained during orientation.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Minnesota RN licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current (minimum of 1 year within the last 2 years) PICU experience which includes the ability to care for: pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients, Level I trauma patients (for Mpls only).
- Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required or obtained during orientation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and provides family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process.
- Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.
