Job summary

Children's National Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Washington, DC. The role provides specialized, high-acuity care to infants, children, and adolescents in a 46-bed unit that serves as a regional referral center and Level I Trauma Center.

You will collaborate with pediatric intensivists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including complex cases such as respiratory failure,

Qualifications

• BSN from an approved nursing program.
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric ICU experience.
• DC/MD/VA licensure as RN required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Monitor patient status, administer meds and manage life support equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response and Code Blue events.
