Job summary

QuarterLine Consulting Services, LLC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Madigan Army Medical Center, JBLM, Tacoma, WA. The role requires caring for critically ill children across ages and conditions under a personal services arrangement.

Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted RN license with ACLS/PALS/BLS, possess a minimum of one year PICU experience, and meet all governmental credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience within the last two years as a registered nurse in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (U.S. Citizenship required).
• Current, full, active and unrestricted RN license.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients.
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring and life-support equipment.
• Perform invasive procedures within scope (arterial lines, central lines, etc.).
• Administer medications using the Five Rights via IV/IM/oral routes.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies; participate in rapid response teams.
• Document patient status, treatments, and progress per standards.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate with the care team.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols.
• Assist with hygiene, feeding, positioning, and mobility.
• Allocate staff resources based on patient care needs.
