Job summary

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care RN (PICU RN) to provide age-appropriate care to pediatric patients and collaborate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans in the PICU.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, following cardiac and respiratory monitors, administering IV therapies, and assisting with line insertions and endotracheal tube care during 3x12 night shifts.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Pediatric ICU experience preferred.
• BLS/ALS certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs (BP, respiration, HR).
• Follow continuous cardiac and respiratory monitor readings (EKG, O2 stats).
• Administer IV fluids and antimicrobial therapies as ordered.
• Assist with insertion or discontinuation of CV catheters, arterial lines, external ventricular drains, epidural catheters, endotracheal tubes; Foley care; Night shift 3x12.
