Job summary

Children's Health Plano is seeking an RN - PRN Commit in the PICU. This on-site role supports day shifts in a high-acuity pediatric setting, delivering developmentally appropriate care and collaborating with the care team to meet patient and family needs.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, ensuring safety and quality standards, educating families, and coordinating with physicians and other professionals to implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• BSN in Nursing required.
• Current Texas RN license.
• At least 2 years PICU experience.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications (department requirements).
• PACES or PACES-related certifications may be required within set timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe, delegate and coordinate patient care with clinical judgment.
• Ensure safety, effectiveness, patient rights and guest relations.
• Oversee care delivered by the patient care team; coordinate plan of care.
• Educate patients, families and staff with sensitivity to diversity.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
