Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a 0.9 FTE RN supervisor to manage nursing staff in an assigned department, oversee patient care, record-keeping, budgeting and personnel issues.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, is licensed as an Ohio RN, has at least three years of pediatric clinical experience, and may hold a certification. The role requires 36 hours per week, primarily 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with every fourth weekend. EOE.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Three years pediatric clinical experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing and UAP staff in documentation, patient care, staffing, and clinical competencies.
• Assist in training and performance appraisal of staff.
• Assist in supervising clinical operations and explain the importance of clinical and financial management.
• Engage in quality improvement, data collection or auditing, and report updates to staff.
• Maintain safety and quality priorities, with auditing and education on safety initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and emergency response preparedness.
