Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Kansas or Multi-State Registered Nurse License
• 2 years management experience

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient-centered nursing care in accordance with Wesley Medical Center standards.
• Evaluates nursing practice quality and initiates process improvements.
• Oversees direct nursing care and acts as role model/resource for staff.
• Maintains effective communication across collaborative relationships.
• Uses critical thinking to identify and access resources for patient scenarios.
• Secures and administers medications per guidelines.
• Assists in staffing assessments based on patient acuity levels.
• Participates in investigations and resolutions of complaints/incidents.
• Ensures compliance with life-safety, quality, and risk policies.
• Contributes to department goals and staff development.
• Participates in interviewing, hiring, orientation and performance evaluations.
