Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a Clinical Nurse Supervisor (ACM) to lead frontline clinical and operational delivery in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The role combines direct patient care with active staff supervision, strategic staffing, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Nursing with 3+ years of clinical experience; PICU experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• Three years of clinical experience; PICU experience strongly preferred.
• RN licensure required; BLS/CPR certification.
• ANCC certification in clinical specialty; PALS/ACLS/ENPC may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and management to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain leader visibility with rounds to assess care delivery and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure safe, efficient patient flow and resource utilization.
• Create and manage staffing and scheduling resources to meet needs.
• Assist in interviewing, onboarding, and training of staff.
• Coach, mentor, supervise, and conduct performance reviews for team members.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in clinical practice and operations.
• Monitor departmental resources and expenditures to meet productivity targets.
• Provide direct clinical care and active supervision of team members.
