Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role supports patient hygiene, vital signs, and communicates with the care team to ensure high-quality pediatric care.

Shift is nights, with a 6:45pm–7:15am window and a rotation including 6 weekend shifts over an 8-week period. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and certifications such as BLS, CNA/EMT/MA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Proof of health assessment and nursing foundation courses, plus basic clinical rotation may substitute CNA/MA/EMT designation.
• BLS from American Heart Association is required; CNA or EMT- Basic or Medical Assistant certifications are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Attend to patients' personal hygiene and daily living needs.
• Check vital signs, weigh patients, apply dressings and collect specimens.
• Record and communicate patient information to the medical team.
• Transport patients and prepare rooms and equipment for use.
• Document actions in forms, logs, and records.
• Collaborate on departmental projects as assigned.
