Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Administrative Tech to support patient care units with reception, clerical and medical record duties. You will serve as liaison between patient care units and other departments, assisting patients and families with activities of daily living under the direction of the registered nurse in charge.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current student in Medical Assistant, EMT-B, CNA, or PCT field.
• CPR - Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care responsibilities, including vital signs and personal care.
• Maintains patient rooms in a clean, neat, and restocked condition.
• Performs hourly rounding and ensures patient comfort and safety.
• Collects and labels specimens; handles blood/blood components and maintains safety.
• Follows infection control policies and proper equipment use.
• Assists with patient admission, orientation, ambulation, and discharge/transfer.
