The Pickleball Instructor is responsible for running open play sessions and drills/skills sessions at the McFetridge Sports Center.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**Include the following - other duties may be assigned:* Instruct both group and private lessons with knowledge of the basic pickleball skills and terminology* Utilize available pickleball equipment to maximize the development of basic pickleball strokes in small and large group lessons.* Develop and grow the Pickleball program to meet the needs of the community* Notify Tennis Coordinator of any equipment repairs needed and maintenance of courts.* Provide a safe and fun environment that promotes enjoying the sport for exercise and fun.* Attract players and help build the program.**SKILLS REQUIRED**Position requires ability to:* Maintain an overall positive attitude with clients, patrons, staff members, and management* Excellent communication skills* Punctual, reliable, and flexible with hours.* Develop and teach lesson plans.* Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.* Ability to maintain program model that has been implemented* Ensuring and following safety measures and regulations* Physical ability to stand for 4-6 hours at a time while on the court**HOURLY RATE RANGE:** $20.00-$25.50**BENEFITS*** Paid Leave Accrual* Sick Time Accrual* 401(k) once eligibility is met**QUALIFICATIONS**Applicant should have 2-5 years previous pickleball instruction experience.
