Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Picker to support distribution operations in our Texas facility. The role requires scanning orders with an RF scanner, picking products across multiple zones, and placing items on conveyors or pallets for shipment.

You will replenish stock, maintain safety standards, and assist with continuous improvement initiatives. The job emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred; experience in distribution/manufacturing a plus.
• Must read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Must operate RF Scanner and Pallet Jack.
• Willing to work overtime and meet deadlines.
• Ability to cross-train and move between zones frequently.

Job description

The Picker works under close supervision of the Picking Supervisor to prepare products for delivery by picking products in multiple zones and placing them in boxes on a conveyor system.

• Pick customer orders by operating RF Scanner to scan order tickets, pick product(s) in multiple zones and place them in boxes on a conveyor system.
• Pick large quantity orders for Distribution Center customers by operating RF Scanner to scan order ticket, pick boxes, place them on pallets, and move pallets to staging area.
• Pick specialized orders or kits as assigned by operating RF Scanner to scan order tickets, pick product(s) from various zones and place them in boxes on a conveyor system or on a pallet.
• May replenish warehouse stock in assigned area by scanning replenishment tickets and moving products to the assigned zone by hand or push-cart.
• Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
• Follow Six Sigma lean manufacturing standards to keep work area clean and safe from hazards.
• Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Must be able to operate RF Scanner and Pallet Jack.
• Must be willing to work over time.
• Ability to demonstrate basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to work independently and with others.
