Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking an Order Picker I for a 2nd shift in California. You will pick and pack orders in a high-volume zone, using a hand scanner and meeting productivity and accuracy standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, attention to detail and good communication. You will work Monday through Friday with potential overtime; safety and organization are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Order picking experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a hand-held RF scanner.

Responsibilities

• Uses a hand scanner to determine order requirements.
• Pulls the correct product from the stock area and packs it into the appropriate boxes.
• Meets required daily productivity standards for lines picked per hour.
• Ensure that work meets quality standards.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to the manager.
• Maintains a current knowledge of operating procedures and company products.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.

2nd Shift - Monday - Friday - 3:00 PM - 11:45 PM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends)

Work Environment

Order Processor: Fast paced, standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Near vision required.

Physical Demands

Order Processor: Medium- Heavy, lifting up to 30 lbs.
