Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state
• Documented skill and competency in peripheral IV access and central vascular access devices
• Successful completion of the requirements for PICC line insertion as stipulated by the Alabama Board of Nursing
• Certification Requirement: Must obtain certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Infusionist (CRNI) within one year of date of employment
• Must be able to rotate being on call during evenings, nights, and weekends

Responsibilities

• Insertion of PICC lines in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex vascular access needs
• Practice appropriate intravenous standards
• Provide education and training to patients and staff on vascular access care
• Repair of PICC lines, declotting, dressing changes
• Support Southeast Health's mission, vision, and values
