Job summary

Anderson Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse specialist to autonomously assess, plan, and perform PICC or Mid Line placements along with ongoing care and education for staff and patients.

You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate vascular access, monitor line maintenance, document thoroughly, and drive quality improvement initiatives across units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current licensure with the State of Illinois; BLS within 30 days of hire.
• PICC/Mid Line certification or experience; vascular ultrasound skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits competency in PICC/Mid Line placement and maintenance.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care to adults and geriatrics.
• Collaborate with physicians to obtain orders for vascular access.
• Monitor PICC/Mid Line care to improve outcomes and assist with dressing changes.
• Document accurately according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Lead education and competency activities for staff and learners.
