Job summary

VTP is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant (PICC RN) to support hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health with USGIV placement and vascular access management.

Certification training is provided for qualifying RNs; USGIV experience is required. Roles include full-time or per diem with a 12PM–12AM schedule and weekend/holiday rotation, offering competitive compensation and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current, active license
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)
• Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• American Heart BLS Certification
• Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
• Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation
• Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices
• Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting
• Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs
